Dinner and Breakfast Hamper:
You have the option to bring your supplies or pre-order a dinner and breakfast package when booking. The dinner features a delightful platter of relishes, and crackers, along with the chef's choice of seafood, lamb, or beef. It's accompanied by a fresh seasonal salad, vegetables, and a sweet dessert. For breakfast, enjoy organic muesli with yogurt and a berry compote. You can add the hamper to your reservation at the checkout.
Getting There:
An hours drive from Christchurch, your journey to the Pōhue PurePod starts with a scenic drive around Banks Peninsula past Charteris Bay and Diamond Harbour, then up over hill above Purau, before turning off the main road into the secure carparking area.
Park your car in the secure carpark, leaving your large luggage locked safely in your vehicle. Then follow the 1.2km walking track up to the PurePod. It will take you around 25 minutes, depending on how many times you stop to take photos of the beautiful views.
Your PurePods Experience:
The PurePod provides all your needs, from a fabulous shower and flush toilet to fresh linen and a well-equipped kitchen with a gas hob and barbecue. We also offer tea, coffee, and milk. Enjoy games, local books, and stargazing with a telescope. Relax in luxury camp chairs on the deck or lounge in the comfortable bed while nature entertains you.

Cancellation Policy
By completing this booking you confirm:
- you are aware there is a 1.2km walk from the carpark to the Pohue PurePod and while most of the track is at a gentle incline overall you will be climbing around 140m in elevation so for those of us not as fit as we used to be you will find yourself puffing a little towards the top. There are also two stiles to climb over as the track passes over the fence line in two places and following wet weather some parts of the track can be a little muddy and slippery. Allow around 25 minutes for this walk or a little longer depending on your fitness level and how many photo stops you will want to make as the views are stunning. There is an alternative (and slightly shorter) track that can be used during bad weather (info on this option will be supplied to you if heavy rain or snow is forecast for your stay).
- you are aware PurePods reserves the right to charge a fee to cover unexpected cleaning costs or damage incurred during your stay.
- you are aware should you disregard the stringent no smoking rules a fee of $300 is immediately payable.
- you are aware the maximum occupancy of the PurePod is 2 adults (no pets and no children allowed)
Amendments and Cancellations:
You can amend or cancel your booking with no extra charge up to 14 days before your reserved stay. If you need to cancel your reservation and it is between 14 and 7 days of your reserved stay we will refund you 50%.
If COVID-19 restrictions prevent you from travelling to your PurePod experience we will be happy to waive our normal notice period so you can postpone or cancel your stay.
A credit card processing fee of NZD20.00 may also apply to cancellations.
Any refunds will be made to the same credit card you used to confirm the booking.
