Mākoha PurePod

Getting There:

Located just a 10-minute drive from the town centre of Kerikeri (or 2 minutes from the airport). You will receive directions and instructions on booking.

At the carpark, leave your large luggage items in your locked car (it will be safe) then follow the 300m walking track as it gently heads down the hillside, where you'll pass by native flora and fauna on your short walk to the PurePod.

Breakfast and Dinner Hamper:

Choose between bringing your own supplies or ordering a delicious dinner and breakfast hamper when booking. The hamper includes fresh local ingredients for fresh food that is grown and harvested in Northland. You'll start the evening fare with local cheeses, cured meats, oven-baked sourdough bread, crackers, and olive oil. For the main course, enjoy the chef’s selection (lamb or steak) and seasonal salad. Breakfast is muesli, yoghurt and fresh fruit. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available on request. You can add the hamper to your reservation at the checkout.

At Mākoha PurePod you will discover your sanctuary, a tranquil haven amongst pristine native bush and towering Kauri trees. It offers a serene escape surrounded in the beauty of the untouched wilderness.

Located within protected QE11 Covenented land this encapsulated PurePod shows what it is like to really be amongst the bush but with far-reaching majestic views too. Taken from the te reo Māori meaning of Mākoha, meaning to be tranquil, undisturbed, compassionate and considerate, it turely captures the essence of the people and this place.

The PurePod provides all your needs, from a fabulous shower and flush toilet to fresh linen and a well-equipped kitchen with a gas hob and barbecue. We also offer tea, coffee, and milk. Enjoy games, local books, and stargazing with a telescope. Relax in luxury camp chairs on the deck or lounge in the comfortable bed while nature entertains you.
