Getting There:

Your journey to the Kokomea PurePod starts with a scenic drive up the Kapiti Coast, before turning off the expressway for a short journey through a lovely country lane as you make your way to the carpark.

Dinner and Breakfast Hamper:

You can bring your own supplies or order a dinner and breakfast hamper made from fresh local ingredients. Dinner includes a cheese platter, main course (chicken, steak, or lamb), and sides. Breakfast is homemade granola with fruit and farm honey. You can add the hamper onto your reservation at the checkout.

Optional Activities:

Explore the surrounding environment with an interactive discussion (kōrero) on the variety of native plants, their medicinal properties and cultural importance through the eyes of local natural fibre artist Birgit Moffatt.

At the carpark, leave your large luggage items in your locked car (it will be safe) then follow the 450m walking track as it gently heads down and up the gully, where you'll pass by native rata, kowhai and pohutukawa trees on your short walk to the PurePod.

Just an hour north of Wellington, with stunning views of Kapiti Island, the Kokomea PurePod sits in a quiet spot on a beautiful grapevine nursery high above the Kapiti Coast. It is the perfect setting for you to relax in privacy and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. Wake in the morning to the beautiful chorus of birdsong.

The PurePod provides all your needs, from a fabulous shower and flush toilet to fresh linen and a well-equipped kitchen with a gas hob and barbecue. We also offer tea, coffee, and milk. Enjoy games, local books, and stargazing with a telescope. Relax in luxury camp chairs on the deck or lounge in the comfortable bed while nature entertains you.

Cancellation Policy

By completing this booking you confirm:

- you are aware there is a 450m walk from the carpark to the Kokomea PurePod. The track gently (for the most part) makes it way down and up a small gully past regenerating native bush full of the sound of bird-life. There are a few steps along the way on a couple of steeper bits and a small bridge across a creek. Walk time is around 5-10 minutes.

- you are aware PurePods reserves the right to charge a fee to cover unexpected cleaning costs or damage incurred during your stay.

- you are aware should you disregard the stringent no smoking rules a fee of $300 is immediately payable.

- you are aware the maximum occupancy of the PurePod is 2 adults (no pets and no children allowed)

Amendments and Cancellations
You can amend or cancel your booking with no extra charge up to 14 days before your reserved stay. If you need to cancel your reservation and it is between 14 and 7 days of your reserved stay we will refund you 50%.
If COVID-19 restrictions prevent you from travelling to your PurePod experience we will be happy to waive our normal notice period so you can postpone or cancel your stay.
A credit card processing fee of NZD20.00 may also apply to cancellations.
Any refunds will be made to the same credit card you used to confirm the booking.
